INGREDIENTS
1 cup warm water
1 package (about 2 ¼ teaspoons) yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
3 ½ cups flour
1 ½ teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons oil
desired calzone innards--sauce, cheese, pepperoni, etc.
DIRECTIONS
Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, let rise for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, pour yeast mixture then add, salt, oil and 2 cups flour. Mix. Gradually add rest of flour. Put in greased bowl and let rise 1 hour.
Divide into 4 portions. Roll out dough into circle, place toppings on one half. Fold the other half over and pinch closed at the edge. You can sprinkle the top with Parmesan and parsley if desired. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Serve with leftover sauce as a dipping sauce.
